California...knows how to party

Singing tupac now?

We had some California Love this weekend for Traci and Eric's wedding! We flew Friday night to LA/manhattan beach for the festivities. The area was awesome and wedding was beautiful! I was so happy we made the trip and can see why TBates loves it there. Fresh air, sand, ocean, seafood, activity, a new love of mango shakes and a big party made our weekend.

Cheers to the happy couple!

busy body baby

Hadley has had quite the January! I've tried to document it as much as possible.  Her mommy is counting down the days to mid-February when life might slow down.  We are so lucky to have good friends, family and jobs that are patient with us and help us so much!  We are currently enjoying volunteering at the Super Bowl - fun! I will post more about DG and I later....this post is <surprisingly> all about Hads

Hads hanging with her buddy Caden.  He will soon learn to pay attention to a pretty girl sitting next to him. They are exactly 7 weeks apart.  This pic cracks me up.  For some reason it looks like Hads just came home from the office in her little jacket. ha!

Laura and I with our kiddos - my how things have changed!

Hadley trying out rice cereal.  Don't let the face fool you. She actually does not enjoy it. We've since moved on to oatmeal.  Let's hope she is just holding off until we feed her the good stuff.

 Hadley turned 5 months!
 such a flirt

Hadley has TEETH! yes, plural.  This pic shows the first one (bottom left) and yesterday the 2nd one came through. That was fast!

Hadley had her first weekend away from mommy & daddy.  We celebrated Steven & Denise's wedding in Florida and Grammy & Gramps kept the baby girl.  Here they are out to lunch.

I love McAlisters!

Hadley is so fun right now!  Her personality keeps blossoming and even those 2 "toofers" didn't faze her.  She starts at a new babysitter's house on Wed and will only be with Grammy one day a week.  I hope Grammy can survive!  I can't wait to get her to her 6 month appointment. I want to know her stats!

We are so thankful for this happy, healthy, beautiful, smart and loving little girl.

mr. & mrs. hurst

Aunt Ronda & Steve O tied the knot a few weeks back in Chicago.  So, David and I decided we would make a weekend trip out of it and headed up after work on Thursday. Even better? Rachel and Jim joined us that night!  We didn't get up there until late, but had fun catching up and hanging out that night.  Then, on Friday, our tour de chicago began!

It went a little something like this:
corner bakery > millenium park > the bean > shedd aquarium > gino's east > navy pier

bean + baby bump = scary alien shapes

Then, on Saturday it was wedding day! Our day started at Corner Bakery (again) and continued with shopping then finally a fabulous wedding on Chicago's First Lady.

Cooler temps and intense fog/mist kept us inside for the ceremony, but the brave ones did venture upstairs for some dancing and fireworks later in the night.

Cheers to Aunt Ronda & Steve O! (I know, how lame that I don't even have a picture of the bride and groom!)

:: giddy ::

I was so giddy this morning on the way to work.

2011 is going to be an a-ma-zing year

Let's break it down...
  • Moving Moving and more Moving! 3 houses sold, Aunt Ronda & Lins in Carmel, new house for my parents after nearly 27 years in the same house. Aunt Ronda and Steve a mile down the street. Wow!
  • Babies! So many exciting blessings this year- and 3 born already in 2011! The newest little guy born to Erin & Keven just this morning! And many more to come in May-August. I am excited that we are at the tailend of our friends (at least until more make announcements) so we can enjoy everyone's big events in preparation for ours!
  • First Birthdays! These are always exciting, and this year we can celebrate Owen, Evan, Chase, Olivia and Maisie! plus more I may be forgetting!
  • Weddings! Our second wedding of 2011 is next weekend, and then three more this summer and fall. So fun!
  • Hindostone! David is in charge - watch out! With the sale of Kipp, David can really focus on Hindostone, his staff, his sales reps and making 2011 the best year yet - and I know it will be!

It must be the warm southeastern breeze that is acting like crack around our house - but we are just so excited for what 2011 brings. And those are just milestones...let's not forget the small things that make the best memories such as weekends away, Bloomington in the spring and summer, Symphony on the Prairie, deck dates with our neighbors, bike rides and visits to the lake.

In the words of the best french fry maker around..."I'm lovin' it!!"

Weekend Fun

Last weekend was jam-packed as we bounced from the KCA Kickball Tourney to Ray & Kristin Coyne's wedding (so fun to say!)

The KCA Kickball Tourney raised more than $18,000 for the Megan S. Ott Foundation - WOW! We were so sad to leave, but it looked like everyone had so much fun! Our friends Sarah & Katie even played on a team, but sadly lost to our family's team of apparently amazing kickball players. who knew?
david is such a mean cousin!

good game, good game, good game

and, here's Katie!
After only being able to watch one game, we rushed home to get ready for the big wedding! It was such a fun day, seeing friends from Kentucky, California & Texas! Congratulations to the lovebirds.

Congratulations to Meredith & Barrett!
I knew this wedding would be top notch and that meredith would not leave one detail overlooked-and I was right! It was beautiful!! (and not just because it was green!)

Bella Grace Studios in Louisville KY was our wedding photographer and how we get to see them at two of our friends' weddings this year.

BGS has posted a sneak peak of Meredith & Barrett's big day on their blog, check it out!

Announcing Mr. & Mrs. JP and Kelly Wyand!!!

Saturday night we had the honor of going to Kelly Heider & JP Wyand's wedding---it was beautiful! David and I had 5 house guests for the wedding, which was way fun too! The DJ was hilarious, but kept the crowd dancing...a good time had by all!

Highlights include our waiter Earl, Melissa Rump breaking it down, tall boys being brought into the reception once the bar closed and Jill (a co-worker of mine) picking up 7 drunk guests with her kid in the car! I feel like I laughed the entire night!

Thanks for a great night Kelly & JP!
