Step 2

Enjoy new fence!
Yay the fence is up! Harley is still working on his understanding of freedom. I don't know if we can call a large wood cage freedom, but it isn't a lead so he should be happy!

We are so excited to enjoy this all summer long! And Harley's friends are invite too!

GUACAMOLE without the GUILT!

I love guacamole and don't really know anyone who doesn't! I have tried to convince myself that it is healthy because it is "good fat." ha! So, I have been determined to find a healthier alternative. We do WW at work and this week is my week to make a treat for the participants. I found this recipe online at LaaLoosh (a great resource for WW recipes that are NOT boring!).

It looks like guacamole and tastes like guacamole-hooray!

Enjoy!

WW Guacamole
Ingredients:
- 1 medium avocado; ripe, peeled & pitted
- 1 15-oz. can young peas, drained & rinsed
- 1/4 cup chopped tomatillos
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onions
- 1/3 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fat-free plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp. lime juice
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 2 tbsp. chopped cilantro
- salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Put peas in a medium bowl and mash with a fork until almost smooth. Add in avocado and mash that into the peas until smooth.

Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Cover surface with plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 1 day. Makes 6 servings.

Serving size: 1/3 cup
Each serving = 1 WW point

Chef's tips: I used some guacamole seasoning from the produce section of the grocery. I also used garlic salt to add salt. Eat with baked scoops! (14 baked scoops for 2 points).

We eat guac often and our fav is on a chicken BLT - TRY IT! Grill thin sliced chicken, turkey bacon and buttered bread. Stack with tomato, lettuce and guac! A Rachel Ray recipe.

Happy Mother's Day!!

A big YAY and THANK YOU to my mom who spent her mother's day helping us in our yard.

We love it and couldn't have done it without her and her eye for where to put all of the stuff I bought :) Well, she and I bought it together really :)

Before (not very close up-but boring!)

Before (trying to rake up the old mulch to make it look better before we could plant!)

Welcome Home!

Looking Good!

I love new mulch!

25 bags to be exact (and we still need more!)

My mom's planter creations!
I am so excited that we have yellow and orange bell peppers growing (my favs) and grape tomatoes---love them!
My fav pot!! Gotta love the color!

David is super sore, but I am sure he thinks it is worth it too!! I am pretty pumped that the front is done (in one day!) and we can't sit back and wait until the fence is installed to work on the back.
Oh yeah, the fence co. is coming on Tuesday for the walk through! We can't wait...it will be great to keep kiddos out and this guy in...

Harley says "stupid lead, when's the fence coming??"

UPDATE!!

Now that got your attention, right?

Well, if I am the only person excited about this update-oh well!

The Indianapolis Man & Woman of the Year campaign has raised more than $145,000!! I was of course proud to announce $135,000....but let's tack on another $10,000, sound good??

Yay!! Go Indy Candidates! Vince Todd, Jr., the Man of the Year, also moved past the $40,000 mark this week for his fundraising-this campaign rocks!
