It all began...

With a little piece of plastic with the  P word on it...

to 15 weeks and still wearing my own pants....

to a very tired looking Sara at 18 weeks...

to Baby's First Gala at 20.5 weeks...

to a photo that actually includes the daddy (ha!)...

to Fetus' First Easter at 22.5 weeks...

I haven't posted any belly shots or really any shots lately - so here you go!!  We go back to the Dr. next week for a quick appointment then again in 4 weeks for the last 4 week appointment.  Then onto every two weeks!

I am getting a little excited/overwhelmed/worried about our time and all that we have going on. But, it will be fun!  I have two showers next weekend for friends, a fun campaign recovery party with my work buddies the next weekend, two big work events the following weekend and then VACATION!  Hello silver lining to May :)

Then when we get home its time to hunker down and have our showers, our time, finish the nursery, finish the registry, start childbirth classes, attend a couple more weddings and nest, nest, nest!

Erin has been in town all week so she was able to see the furniture and bedding fabric today.  So fun to show her!  My next task is picking out the paint color and molding design for the nursery.  Fun fun!

fair oaks farm

I used to pass Fair Oaks Farm all the time when traveling to the Region for work.  I always wanted to stop but on my way up never allowed enough time and on my way home just wanted to get home.

So, on Sunday when David and I were making the I-65 trek back home from Chicago, the words "oh come on - we're on a road trip!" actually came out of David's mouth.  Can you believe it? this from the kid who hates with a capital H driving!

We should have borrowed a few kids to take with us so we would fit in, but thankfully I am clearly cooking one now so maybe we fit in - at least just a little.

but, I digress. The point is that I love love love cheese and milk and cheesy, milky things.  This place is a gold mine!  You can sample cheese, eat grilled cheese, drink milk, eat ice cream.  Yum-O!  We didn't tour the birthing barn (ew) or any of the activities.  It was purely an eating destination for us.  But, I highly recommend making time to stop next time you are traveling up the dreaded I-65 route to chicago.

now trips to chicago or the region don't seem so bad after all.

halfway to bebe

deserves a pedi, don't ya think?

I do, and apparently so does Baby Center.  As my little piggies were drying at the nail salon, I received an email from Baby Center suggesting that I celebrate this halfway point with a pedicure. ha! I am steps ahead of 'em :)

We did also celebrate the halfway point with a rug purchase.  Random, but too cute and too good of a deal to pass up.  I hope I don't get sick of this sea mist/muted tiffany blue/robin's egg/beach house color we will be seeing a lot of in the next several months (or years if you want to look at it that way).  Yikes!

you know sara is pregnant when...

Cherry coke can quench my thirst
this coming from the girl who gave up soda a long time ago to really only enjoy 2-3 per year....until now.  David's face the first time I ordered one at Cancun was priceless

I am sitting at home the night of Final Four championship...and one that Butler is playing in because bars are smokey and the game is late.  lame

My dinner tonight is a frisco melt from Steak 'n Shake and fries from Chick-fil-A.  Come on now-it's the best of both worlds, admit it!  But, this coming from a girl who, before pregnant, had maybe had 2 bison burgers in 2010 and hadn't eaten red meat for years.

But - the phrase around this house is "the baby made me do it."  And, I am sticking to it!
