Six months and winter fun!

I have been overcome lately by remembering how much I love the 6-month baby age.  The laughs, smiles, rolling, sitting, flopping around the crib at night, scarfing down baby food (new for us!) and just being so content to sit and play.

I know he will continue to grow at an alarming rate - so we better enjoy the immobile fun now! ha!  He was 90% for weight, 92% for height and 70% for head circumference at his 6-month appointment.  Big Boy!  That was even before starting baby food.  He loves Hadley, loves to grab for anything we have in our hands (books especially), loves to roll and find a way to his favorite toy and still likes the jumperoo.  He has a new car he loves to play in, has this crinkly book about tails that's a huge hit and thinks his new John Deere tractor is pretty cool when Hadley goes blazing by pushing it.  Baby food is a hit: peas, asparagus and fruit especially!

We've had lots of winter fun - a neighborhood sleigh ride, a ride down the slide at Jolly Days at the children's museum, checking out the trains at Jingle Rails at the Eiteljorg, building a snowman with Anna (young girl across the street who Hadley loves), Hadley's 2nd IU game with Mommy & Daddy, scoping out the gingerbread masterpieces at Conner Prairie with Sam & Taylor and most recently being holed up in the house with mommy - ha!

Enjoy the photo dump!

Brady and I "cuddling" on the family sleigh ride

Anna & Mia teaching Hadley now to eat snow

clearly the lessons worked!

Brady watching the girls have all the fun.

Getting a ride around the yard from Daddy!

Earning the fun with some chores.  Loves her shovel!

all the Glenns coming down the slide! Jolly Days!

Daddy & Hadley zooming down fast!

Riding a horse at the Eiteljorg

A yellow train was on this track - can you tell how intent she is on waiting for it?

Mmmm popcorn.  Hads and DG ate this entire bucket!

Hoooooosiers!

Loving his peas!  And being in the booster seat at La Hacienda..yum!

The car!  Hadley "waiting" on her turn.  She's pushy.

Hads & Sam at lunch after Conner Prairie - look, a leaf!

Brady now enjoys the high chair or our booster when at restaurants!  Go Brady!

Snuggling up to the babysitter - overnight at Grammy & Gramps!

Cheers! I turned 32!

We love Bakersfield and the chance to sleep in!

Brady being tormented during his first overnight at Grammy & Gramps house

Hadley insists on sitting next to Gramps in his chair.  looks comfy!

The masterpiece!

Waiting patiently for the icing and goodies!

The Wannamakers Visit Indiana

You can't get more lucky than meeting life-long friends on a plane.  Random seats in first class, to randomly being on the same resort shuttle to "hey, we are going to excellence too!" to laughs, drinks, fun, memories and stories to last a lifetime.

Now, this friendship has grown as we add the little people.  We traveled to NC in February to visit Skotty, Cameron and Charlotte and this fall it was their turn to visit Indiana!  We will go back in May and hopefully can convince them to visit again next fall.  Twice a year sounds good to me! :)

a little out of order but I just wanted to get them posted!

Welcome to my children's museum, Charlotte.  Come, I'll show you how to have fun!

Brady is having fun too!

around and around we went..and went...and went..

Loving on Brady

Conner Prairie day!

Two men and a goat...

Monkey see, Monkey do

it was HOT but overcast in the morning so the water table & splash pad were a perfect way to end our CP morning

Kisses

to the splash park.  Charlotte rocking the ruffle

Cameron and I being smart ladies...wine, frozen grapes, pedicures

Charlotte would not stop drinking from this cup at CP.  The volunteer even came up to me to make sure I knew there were chemicals in the water.  Very nice of her, but Charlotte did not care.

Hadley selling fruit to Cameron

Ending our fun at Petit Chou.  Love these guys!

We packed our weekend full of fun, outings, our favorite restaurants and staying up late laughing and catching up.  It was THE BEST way I could have ended my maternity leave!

Baby swap

Below are pictures of the sweetheart I am spending the weekend with and the sweetheart my parents are spending the weekend with. I'm thinking my weekend might be more relaxing ;)

Thanks Grammy & Gramps for being Hadley's entertainment for the weekend so we can visit Corrine Forbes!

let's hear it for the boys...

Hadley has lots of little friends who are boys.  Not boyfriends, of course. An important distinction I am sure her dad would like me to make.

This week Hadley was lucky enough to have Ethan over to play and help Quincy celebrate his first birthday!

Ethan & Hadley's Play Date
 pure joy

Our parents are so silly.  I know!

Ethan...get back on your side of the chair!

Quincy turns 1!!  Q had a few friends over and asked them to show their team spirit!  Lots of sports at this party!

The big ONE year old hydrating at the start of his party

I-N-D-I-A-N-A (clap clap)

So many boys!  Notice Hadley in the corner playing by herself.  typical hads.

Instead of presents, Q did a book swap.  You had to shoot a basket first.  Hadley didn't understand why the boys were in her way.  She just wants to read!

Double Dribble

Slam dunk!

Team Spirit!

Happy Birthday, Quincy!!

While Hadley is on yet another antibiotic for her worst ear infection yet, she was feeling good and played for a long time!  The guacamole and chips followed by a cake pop were great fuel today.  ha!
