baby #2

is coming...so we better get ready!

This is me at 29 weeks, 6 days.  About to turn the corner where our weeks start with a 3.  Yikes!  Sadly, this is the first bump picture we have taken.  As the second and youngest child, this 2nd pregnancy is giving me a little more perspective on why so many more photos of Erin exist! ha!  There just isn't time to focus on this/myself/my belly/etc.  We have a toddler with immediate needs who needs to be fed, taught, cleaned, watered and loved.  That toddler who, as I am typing this, is laying in her bed reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar to herself as she goes to bed.  I love that kid!

We are making the smallest progress possible for this baby.  On Friday, we restarted the "what should we name this baby" conversation.  No good lists created or decisions made, but we asked the question, right?  I also called a painter today to paint Hadley's big girl room and her bathroom.  Itty, bitty, tiny baby steps.

Just this week I've had two dreams where we had a girl.  I have girl on the brain but can't decide if it is because of this baby or because we have a girl...just not sure how to differentiate.  One of the dreams had us searching for our own baby in the nursery to learn what we had. We found HER and she was 10.5 pounds.  Yikes!  Not gonna happen...my doctor likes us too much :)

Overall, I feel good, this baby is thriving, I've passed the tests and blood work at the doctor and somehow am keeping my weight in check. I am exhausted to put it mildly.  But, I am assuming that has as much to do with Hadley as it has to do with baby #2.  We now go to the Dr. every two weeks which is always fun.  I love the checkups but hate the reminder of how quickly two weeks can pass!

The nursery has a plan if it's a boy (adding navy, orange and green) and will stay the same if it is a girl.  We will move Hadley as soon as her room is painted and cleaned so she can get used to it.

Hadley has some updates too - but this post is for baby #2 so those can wait :)

Maybe I'll share another photo during the next 10 weeks!
