I am on book 12 of the year. I started it a long time ago at a way too busy of a time of year to really get into it. At the encouragement of my boss saying "It's the best book of 2010!" and sending me links to lists of the top books of 2010 to proove her point...I continue to push through.

I will finish this book by the 30th at noon. That is all the time I have this year.

Truck - a love story

this is book #1...it is currently being interrupted by watching Julie & Julia (great movie-making me hungry!)

I have to give a shout out to my sister and her entire family for their 2010 goals of reading! How great is this! Even my brother-in-law is in on the reading goal :) Let's all cheer for Jack as he will read 1001 books by May 2011. It is so neat!

I am in the same camp as my sister that I really don't announce resolutions for the masses to then judge my success...but this is one that I will continue to do year after year. Hopefully it will get to a point that I will be going back to classics since I will have read all of the "chick-lit" a girl can handle!

Mission :: Accomplished!

Easier Than I Thought...

I set out this year with a goal in mind to read 12 books by the end of the year. I didn't make it a resolution because I want to do this each year moving forward. Padge helped me get started with the Twilight series-so that was an easy 4 books down!

I have started a list at the bottom of our blog - watch it grow! My co-worker Mallory has been in a book club for 3 years so I have their list to reference, but if you have a great recommendation-send me a comment with the title!

I definitely think my dad has instilled the love of reading. He is always reading and while we joke that he doesn't go anywhere without a book and a highlighter...it is such a neat gift to love to read!
